Most of our weddings are destination weddings (hence our name) but sometimes the destination is home as well! This was true for Coral, who lives in Texas but has a big, beautiful family in Puerto Rico. Her groom-to-be, Orlando, proposed to her at Christmastime in 2018 when they were in Puerto Rico, in front of her whole family (bold move, but it worked!). They loved sharing that special moment with her family so much that they decided to come back to Puerto Rico for their wedding, and we are so glad they did!
Coral and Orlando chose Puerto Hermina in Quebradillas for their wedding location. Puerto Hermina is a quiet family beach that features stunning rock formation and stone ruins said to have been a pirate’s lair. They loved the architecture of the ruins and the pristine, isolated coastline. Their charming and intimate wedding was held in a sandy cove with pampas grass and pieces of coral lining the aisle. They chose a rustic wooden wedding arbor with draped white fabric and classic white chairs for their guests.
Both Coral and Orlando’s parents were in attendance as well as other loved ones (including Coral’s beautiful grandmother). Coral’s dad walked her down the aisle and there were no dry eyes as they exchanged their vows. Their ceremony was a joyful celebration of their love and commitment to each other. After their beach wedding, their party of twenty went to a local restaurant for a celebratory dinner. The day was fully theirs in every way!
