San Cristobal
El Morro gets much of the glory in Old San Juan, but San Cristobal offers better and more practical options for wedding ceremonies.
Good for: Barefoot on the Beach weddings, elopements, vow renewals, cruise excursions
PRO's
- The most accessible of Old San Juan locations, as vehicles can approach close to ceremony areas
- Stunning grassy areas within, as well as historic walls and structures for photos and backdrops
CON's
- San Juan in general is a big city, with big city noises, traffic, onlookers, etc
- Cannot fly the drone for video and photo, as it is prohibited by the National Park Service
- No humpback whale sightings this far east on the island (in season, January-April)
- Not all services are possible. No celebration possibilities
- Additional fees apply
- Requires a permit with the National Parks Service including special events and liability insurance
- Only available before or after park hours

Amazing to Work With
Amazing company to work with to make your destination wedding vision and dreams come true! Both Ashley and Joanna were super responsive and had great insight throughout the planning process. I had a vision of an Old San Juan wedding and they ensured everything went smoothly as planned! Ashley conducted our ceremony which was beautiful. The photographer they work with – Angel is very talented – we love all our pictures! Don’t think twice if you want to get married in Puerto Rico, book with them! IG:@prweddings did and amazing job helping me make my vision into reality! Best company to use if your are considering a destination wedding in Puerto Rico.
