This month, we’re delighted to announce virtually all Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted on our island. Woohoo!
We’re happy that such much-welcome news brings new travelers to our island. Many of you know that travel and international living is very much a part of us and our backgrounds. We love drawing from our experiences around the globe with so many different cultures and religions in our own ceremonies. ‘Jumping the Broom’ is one such beautiful tradition, and we share some of our jumping couples below!

Tina & Marcus met nine years ago as coworkers. They fell in love when she started bringing him homemade lunches to replace his takeout, and he started giving her rides home to keep her out of the cold. After journeying through life’s ups and downs together, they realized that they didn’t see a future without the other one in it. They wanted to show their love and devotion to the world. That’s where Puerto Rico Destination Weddings, Inc. came into play…
When Tina & Marcus decided to get married they knew they wanted an elopement in Puerto Rico with a core group of loved ones. But they still wanted to celebrate their day in a big way! Our ceremony and celebration package was perfect for Tina & Marcus. This package includes everything you need for a beautiful wedding and celebration. One of the benefits is that you pay a base price and then a price per guest, so it is easy to customize for an intimate elopement celebration or a huge party with all of your friends!
Tina & Marcus and their loved ones enjoyed an intimate wedding ceremony in The Bohio at Hacienda222. They were able to enjoy the stunning location, gorgeous flowers from an organic farm in the mountains of Puerto Rico, a cello and violin duo, amazing photography and videography, and so much more!
After their ceremony, the guests enjoyed a delicious, plated farm-to-table dinner prepared on-site using ingredients grown right here at Hacienda222!

We make this scrumptious ambrosia using herbs from the organic raised-bed gardens at Hacienda222…
…and from fresh passionfruit also grown at Hacienda222.
If you visit in person, you’ll see passionfruit growing in many places. Including along the fence as picture above. We’ve also created a “living wall”, a custom art piece designed and constructed by local artisans that will one day be covered in passion fruit vines. We’ll share more in a future installment of The Latest.
