The wedding of Jessica & Christopher at Puerto Hermina.
About an hour west of San Juan, Puerto Hermina is a hidden cove featuring the ruins of an old pirates’ lair. Puerto Hermina makes the list of the top wedding venues in Puerto Rico for its ‘secret location’ vibe (only locals know of this place) amid untouched beauty. You won’t see condos in the background, just beautiful green cliffs and the dazzling blues of the Atlantic Ocean. Great vibes, and beauty…what more can you ask for?
Gabriela & Jomar’s wedding at Guajataca Tunnel.
Guajataca Tunnel was named after the ruins of a railway tunnel that circled Puerto Rico. The trains are long gone, but what is left is a beautiful venue for your wedding. Guajataca Tunnel features a long stretch of sandy beach, a grove of palm trees that provide beautiful color and shade, and a lagoon that serves as a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding day photography.
Roza & Erik’s wedding at San Cristobal Castle.
If you love history and are looking for a place to get married in the San Juan area, San Cristobal Castle is the place for you! Where else can one be married with the walls of a 400-year-old fort filled with history? This venue provides a wedding location surrounded by the rich history of old San Juan and the beautiful blues of the Atlantic Ocean.
*weddings at San Cristobal Castle require a permit from the National Parks Service, which we’re happy to take care of for you for an additional cost
Taylor & Brogan’s wedding at Gozalandia Falls.
Gozalandia Falls is exclusively an elopement venue (for only the wedding day couple, no guests) for adventure seekers. But we had to include this hidden gem on our list as we know that our couples love everything that our tropical island has to offer, not just the beaches. If you are looking for a unique adventure elopement, we encourage you to stay away from the crowds at El Yunque (read more here) and opt for a romantic and intimate wedding at Gozalandia Falls. This wedding venue is like no other!
These are our favorite wedding venues in Puerto Rico, but there are no shortage of beautiful places to get married on this island. Click here to read about some of our other favorite spots. We’d love to help with your destination wedding or elopement!
