The Latest, from Puerto Rico Destination Weddings, Inc.

Saludos!

I hope this email finds you all well and healthy! Puerto Rico continues to recover with a bang, with tourism at record levels and many new residents and visitors to the island. It has been a busy summer, and we are delighted to have created amazing wedding day experiences for so many happy couples…

In this month’s Latest, we feature Jenna and Shane’s beautiful family wedding at our Hacienda222, we offer some tips for your own wedding planning, and we give a sneak peek of perhaps the most exciting feature of Hacienda222, our Tower. Believe it or not, we have turned a vertical shipping container into a wine cellar, public bathrooms for our guests, outdoor showers, and a mirador overlook, featuring panoramic views of Isabela and all her surrounding areas. Can we talk about photo opps and Instagrammable moments?? It is truly an extraordinary design and engineering feat, and we cannot wait to share it with all our Hacienda222 couples and their guests! But, for now, enjoy a sneak peek of the first step in turning a shipping container into a Tower.

As always, we will keep you updated on The Latest in weddings and Puerto Rico, and we can’t wait to welcome you here soon! 2022 is filling up fast, so let us know how we can help you plan the destination wedding experience of your dreams!

Best,

A Guide to Staying in West Puerto Rico

When our couples ask for recommendations on where to stay, we often suggest choosing a spot in western Puerto Rico. A little more off the beaten path than the more know big city of San Juan, We find the beauty and culture of the west to be unparalleled on the island. Many of our weddings venues are in west Puerto Rico and staying on the west side can make for an even more stress-free and easy wedding day. Here are insider tips for how to have an amazing stay in west Puerto Rico.

The best places to stay in west Puerto Rico

We are often asked, “We love the idea of experiencing the real Puerto Rico, but where should we stay?”
In this blog post, we give you the inside track on the best places to stay in west Puerto Rico. We include recommendations that consider all budgets and travel styles.

Nightlife in west Puerto Rico

Nightlife in the west of Puerto Rico tends to be a bit different than in the big city. It starts earlier, as we love our sunshine and beach time, and of course our legendary sunsets. There are no dress codes and everyone you’ll meet is relaxed and likely to start up a conversation with all around. If beach bars, local and live music, and a convivial setting where you’re guaranteed to make friends and meet colorful characters sounds fun, then the west is for you!

The best beaches in west Puerto Rico

If you are looking for the best beach in Puerto Rico, we encourage you to explore the whole island! Locals will tell you that the real Puerto Rico and all her magic are found when you step away from the big city. In that spirit, we share our favorite beaches on the west side of Puerto Rico, home to the friendliest locals and most beautiful beaches on the island. Take your rental car (it’s easy to get around, as GPS works well), explore, and find your own favorite beach in Puerto Rico.

Things to do in west Puerto Rico

We’re always amazed to see how so much of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico gets so little online attention. There are so many options beyond visiting Old San Juan or taking a trip to El Yunque Rainforest. While they make lovely day trips, like most Puerto Ricans, we think the real magic of Puerto Rico is found on the west side of Puerto Rico. Here are a few ideas of things to do on the west side of Puerto Rico.

Alex & Darius shared a quiet moment on their wedding day on the spot that would become The Bohio.

The foundation is laid and the columns are up for the stunning wedding of Rosi & Andre.

For the elopement celebration of Jax & Mike, more progress was made on the structure of The Bohio.
