Peñón de Coco is one of our hidden gem wedding locations, and it is stunning. It is located in Isabela, on the west side of Puerto Rico. Isabela is a lovely small town with beautiful beaches and great beach bars. We always encourage our couples to venture outside of San Juan and explore the island, it is where the true magic of the island lies.
We love Peñón de Coco for its dramatic cliffs and because it is an experience unto itself. It offers a romantic stroll on a coastal trail, dramatic cliffside views, and a beautiful Caribbean beach. Come along as we walk you through the journey of a wedding at Peñón de Coco.
The cliffs and beach are accessible by a lovely coastal walking path. On your walk to the aisle, you will see beautiful tropical foliage, ocean views, and hermit crabs crossing the road.
Wondering why it is called Peñón de Coco? Peñón (Spanish for crag or rock mass) comes from the stunning oceanside cliffs. It is also the location of a famous local truck that sells coco frio- ice-cold coconut water straight from the source! The truck isn’t always there, but when it is, you can enjoy the perfect tropical wedding toast.
Peñón de Coco is a great place to add drone photography to your wedding package. The cliffs and sweeping ocean views make for amazing, dramatic photos as seen in Lindsay & Bailey’s wedding photos.
