Karen & Kristian were married in a personalized wedding ceremony at Puerto Hermina, one of our favorite beach wedding locations. It’s a gorgeous, intimate space and it is also one of our closest locations to San Juan.
To reach Puerto Hermina, one drives down a winding hill, beyond which there are no buildings or development, just stunning untouched nature. Puerto Hermina includes the ruins of an old pirates lair and a beautiful sandy cove.
We love to share Puerto Rico’s rich history. Karen & Kristian’s wedding ceremony included symbolism from the Taino Indians, the indigenous people of the Caribbean. Carved in the cliffs above the beach at Puerto Hermina is the face of a cacique, a Taino chief.
Karen & Kristian stayed in the San Juan metro area. Although we think it is worthwhile to spend some time in west Puerto Rico (read our blog about places to stay, the best beaches, and nightlife), it is not uncommon for our couples to stay in the San Juan area and drive to the west for their wedding day. Puerto Rico is a small island after all. We were happy to send our limousine, Coco Chanel, to bring Karen & Kristian to their wedding in comfort and style.
Karen & Kristian added our ‘let us take care of everything’ marriage certificate support package for their wedding day. When couples book their wedding with us we send them a questionnaire so that we can get to know them and personalize their wedding ceremony.
